Kerela Special Items. Avalose Podi (Roasted Rice Powder) originates from the state of Kerala, South India. It's a traditional and popular evening snack of “God Own Country” and one of my favourites among snacks. This snack is usually accompanied by some sugar or honey. It pairs well with a cup of hot piping tea or coffee. Avolose Podi (Roasted Rice Powder) can be used to make Avalose unda (Roasted Rice Balls).
